Course Overview

This online short course is for first-time users of Cubit Estimating, or for those who have never used estimating software, and provides the skills and knowledge you need to understand the basics of the software and start estimating with Cubit.

This course is designed to be partnered with our Producing Estimates in Cubit Estimating course, to give you a thorough introduction to the essential features and tools you’ll need to know to get the most out of working with Cubit Estimating.

Course Outcomes
  • You will understand the function of the Job Manager, and the structure of the Objects within it (Projects, Jobs, Price Lists)
  • You will be able to create Projects, Jobs
  • You will be able to import data into Cubit Estimating
  • You will be able to export your Jobs out of Cubit Estimating
  • You will be able to set up a basic estimate using the Item Sheet, Calculation Sheet, Rate Sheet
  • You will be able to perform quantity takeoffs directly off a PDF plan
  • You will be able to generate a Trade Report
Pre-requisites

To assist you in having the best training experience possible, we strongly recommend you watch our Cubit Estimating On-Demand Webinar.

You don’t need any previous experience with Cubit Estimating or any other estimating software. However, you should have basic computer skills as well as understand how to use Microsoft Windows operating system. If you’re unsure where your skill level sits, give us a call and we can chat about the basic computer skills you’ll need for the day.
